Welcome back to the Tarot Tea Room, where your guides and intuition offer up the tea you need to live an aligned life.

This week, we’re going to do things a little bit differently, and dive into the watery world of the suit of Cups.

Each minor arcana card has an element associated with it. One of the best ways for deeply connecting to the cards is getting curious about your relationship with the elements.

This week, let’s begin with water, the element connected to the suit of Cups.

🏆 CUPS = 💧WATER

Traditionally, water is connected to emotions and the past. (As Olaf puts it in Frozen II, water has memory.)

But what is your relationship with water?

When I think of water, images arise of long, hot showers (my favorite way to take care of myself), washing the dishes, the sound of a rushing river, my bare feet in the sand at the edge of the ocean, ice clinking into a glass, getting pulled under a huge wave, listening to the rain on my roof, stepping into a puddle in my new Birkenstocks….

For me, water is restorative, calming, cleansing, and soothing. It can also be scary and overpowering. And sometimes, it’s just inconvenient.

So what does that tell me about what the Cups cards mean for me?
