Hi Reader!

The tulips in my front yard are already pushing up from the ground as I write this—Spring Equinox energy buzzing in the air, marking the start of a fresh astrological year. Meanwhile, gifts for my daughter’s 7th birthday this Sunday line the counter, waiting to be wrapped.

In my family, birthdays are revered…even for my 77 year old parents!

And at the same time, birthdays can be so…complicated.

I still remember the gut-punch feeling at my 8th birthday party. I was in the basement, crying on the bed…and I don’t even remember why! There was something about the intensity of a party just for me that brought up all of my feelings of not belonging. (Emotions are so weird, aren’t they?)

Fast forward to last June, just days before my 42nd birthday. There I was, standing on my front porch, phone pressed to my ear, voice cracking as I confessed to my best friend:

“I haven’t planned anything for my birthday yet. What if I invite people and no one comes? What if everyone’s too busy? No one wants to celebrate me.”

I could hear how irrational I sounded—a grown woman with decades of evidence that people care about me—yet there I was, that same 8-year-old girl, terrified of not being important enough to my friends.

Birthdays are times when the spotlight shines on us, giving us a chance to celebrate being alive, while also revealing the places where we feel like we’re not enough.

The business that isn’t growing fast enough

The creative projects still unfinished

The relationships that don’t quite fit

The nagging feeling that everyone else has figured out what you’re still struggling with

But inside of the doubts and critiques, there’s a quiet invitation for transformation. A voice that says, “You matter, your work matters, and this could be the best year of your life! Let’s do this!”

And that brings me to an idea I’ve been contemplating…

I’m thinking about creating a Cosmic BBFs Birthday Club—a free experience to help you harness your birthday’s cosmic energy while navigating the emotional complexity that birthdays often bring.

I’m playing with different ideas for what this could entail, including:

  • Personalized insights based on your specific zodiac sign
  • Guided practices to help you reflect and set intentions
  • Some combination of tarot, astrology, and practical coaching
  • I’m even considering offering a limited number of complimentary 1:1 sessions around birthdays

But before I develop this further, I’d love to know: Is this something that would interest you?

If there’s enough interest, I’ll start developing this concept further, and you’ll be the first to know what it becomes!

Curious about your thoughts,

Daniela

P.S. What’s the weirdest birthday gift you’ve ever gotten? Hit reply and let me know, and I’ll tell you my weirdest gift. It was given to me by an ex boyfriend.

Yesterday I wrote 'I am done hiding' in my journal. Here's the middle-school memory that explains why — and what I'm doing about it now.
