Birthdays are so complicated when you’re an adult.

On one hand, it’s a day just for you! (Yay!)

But then there’s the existential dread of being another year older.

There’s the moment when someone asks “any big plans?” and you realize you don’t…and it feels like yet another thing to have to figure out.

And there’s the anxiety about another year passing without becoming who you “should” be by now.

Birthdays force us to think about time passing…and that’s something a lot of us don’t love to think about. (Including me! I’m still 27 years old on the inside!)

But there’s also something so important about being forced to asked these existential questions about who we are, who we want to be, and what we want to do in the upcoming year.

I get so many requests to do readings around birthdays, whether they’re in-depth, one on one explorations, or shorter readings at parties.

I think it’s directly connected to the birthday angst and joy I just mentioned – birthdays are life markers that give us the opportunity to connect to something larger and deeper, whether that’s our own purpose, evaluation of where we want to be in our lives, or an awareness of being on a journey that has a beginning, middle, and end point.

This is why I’ve been developing the Befriend the Zodiac Birthday Club concept I mentioned in an email a few weeks ago. I want to bring you some of the magic and clarity of a personalized session so that you can start your next year with excitement and joy rather than existential dread.
