It’s been awhile since I’ve written, and I feel rusty, like a neck that’s been angled wrong on a pillow all night.
Since my last email went out to you, I went to Seattle for an astrology convention (amazing!), did readings at a huge two day fair in Denver (great, but also really stressful…especially the GIGANTIC storm that almost blew my tent away at the end), celebrated my 43rd birthday (chill and fun), and got my two of my wisdom teeth out (painful, but not as bad as I thought it would be).
Oh, and I got a $350 parking ticket.
So yeah, I’ve been busy.
Check out my tent at the fair! That’s my daughter sitting at the front table.
Whenever I write an email to you, I want to give you some wisdom, some astrological or tarot insight that will help you feel more centered and connected to yourself.
But also…I want to connect to you. And one thing that builds real connection…is being real.
So here are a few real things about my life right now. Not tied up in a fancy star-studded bow. Not packaged into a palatable box. Just real, raw, and (maybe) relatable.
🌸 Flowers and Tornadoes
It’s Gemini season. It’s hot, the flowers are blooming, the days are long, and I freaking LOVE it. It’s my favorite time of year. Also, there have been a TON of storms in Denver, and my 7 year old daughter is terrified of tornadoes all of a sudden.
I haven’t experienced a tornado in Denver since I was 6 years old (despite living here for most of my life), and I’ve told her that, but that doesn’t stop her from thinking every beeping noise is a tornado siren. Because fear isn’t rational.
Kiara, Kumba (the red one), and Jorgen
❤️ Gratitude and Grief
My dog Kumba is a month and a half past his second round of chemo treatments. It’s been 14 months since he was first diagnosed with lymphoma. And he’s thriving right now.
Every single day I thank my guides he’s still with me…and I check his lymph nodes to see if they’re enlarged every time I pet him. Last night he woke up and couldn’t breathe for a minute. He ended up being fine…but I feel like I’m always right next to the edge of darkness.
🌎 Bali in my Birth Chart
I recently learned about astro-relocation, which is when you take a birth chart and see where the planets would fall if the person was born elsewhere at the same time. People are often drawn to places where their planets come to the top of the chart or to the edges of the horizon.
I’ve been wanting to go to Bali since I was 20 years old. When my chart is relocated there, the Sun is at the very top. It’s been calling to me all this time and I didn’t know why. (Btw, I can do an astro-relocation reading for you, too! Hit Reply and lmk if you’re interested! 🚀)
♊️ Gemini in a Scorpio Moon Cave
I love being out in the world, meeting people in person, and doing readings for lots of people in a row. It feeds my Gemini soul in a way that the online world never can.
But…I also have a Scorpio Moon that needs to hide away, and not talk to anyone, and recalibrate by being completely alone. Which I don’t always get to do, because I’m a single mom and I have my daughter 65% of the time. That’s why I’ve been absent from your inbox for so long…I was in my cave, refueling.
👀 What’s True for You?
If you’re up for it, I’d love to hear one true thing about your life. It doesn’t have to be deep or dark or sad. It could just be that you love Cheerios because they remind you of your childhood. Or that you keep buying art supplies, because you want to get back to painting, but then you never have time. Hit me up with your truth, please!
And thanks for reading mine.
Warmly,
Daniela
